Seven years ago I engaged in an academic battle. A battle against non-cosmetic academics on the topic of cosmetic gynecology.
Arrogant, ignorant, pejorative academics.
My favorite kind.
This presentation is based loosely on that presentation.
In my eyes, their position was nonsense. But, as they say, the sheep were scared.
Fast forward to the present time and little has changed in some circles, but much has changed in others.
The war on ignorance is fought with education and persistence.
Here's an excerpt to give you a sense of what's inside:
The world’s largest academic society in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology supports the elective termination of a healthy pregnancy in a healthy woman by the performance of unnecessary surgery upon normal anatomy because according to them it’s her body and her choice.
Yet, when that same woman requests a labiaplasty upon her normal anatomy, they suggest that her choice should be questioned, challenged and discouraged.
